Your Family Vacation and Disney land Tickets
2011
My wife and I often joke that taking your children to Disneyland should be made a law for all parents. Neither one of us experienced the magic of Disneyland as little ones, but we have made sure that our children go quite frequently. A trip to Disney can be extremely pricey. Disney land tickets are expensive, the cost of a hotel can be outrageous and other expenses like food, travel, and toys for the kids can add up to thousands in a matter of days. Fortunately, there are methods to make Disney affordable. The key is to be informed, prepared, and plan appropriately. You and your family can have tons of fun without breaking the bank.
The key to saving money on tickets into the park is to buy them in advance and if possible, during off peak times like early winter. Another big expense on a Disneyland vacation is the cost of hotels. The Disney owned hotels are two to three times more expensive than neighboring hotels and quite luxurious and convenient, but really are not worth the price. Most people only spend two to three waking hours in their hotel rooms; the rest of the time they are in the parks, so why spend hundred on a room that you will only be sleeping in? Another thing to keep in mind is that AAA members and government employees receive huge discounts, so don’t forget your work badge or AAA card. Also, hotels that provide free continental breakfast are a great value. They may even save you $15- 20 a day.
